Richard C. Demerle has been practicing law since 2002 with a focus on mortgage default servicing and landlord-tenant law. Richard represents several national loan servicers on their real property legal issues including defending mortgagees in commercial and consumer litigation, prosecuting post-foreclosure evictions and defending secured claims in the U.S. Bankruptcy Courts.
Prior to graduating from Boston University School of Law, Richard served as a legislative aide to the Massachusetts House Ways & Means Committee where he spearheaded the Haverhill Land Bank campaign dedicated to preserving open space in the City of Haverhill. A graduate of Dartmouth College, Mr. Demerle also worked as a reporter for two of the largest daily newspapers in Massachusetts, The Lowell Sun and The Eagle-Tribune.

Lauren M. Bucci focuses her practice in the areas of mortgage default servicing and landlord-tenant law. Prior to joining Demerle & Associates, P.C., Ms. Bucci worked in-house as a legal auditor and before that she was a paralegal and law clerk at a toxic tort litigation firm.

Tatyana Tabachnik has more than 15 years of bankruptcy experience. First admitted to practice law in 2009, Tanya has focused her legal career in the area of consumer bankruptcy. For more than 10 years, Tanya has provided bankruptcy counsel to mortgagees and other secured creditors throughout the Bankruptcy Courts of New England. Tanya also has more than four (4) years of experience representing bankruptcy debtors, giving her rare insight into both sides of bankruptcy issues. While serving as bankruptcy counsel, Tanya also serves as co-chair of the Boston Bar Association Bankruptcy Education Committee, is a committee member on the Attorney Advisory Committee for the U.S. District Court for the District of Rhode Island and has been published in National Association of Chapter Thirteen Trustees (NACTT) Quarterly. Tanya has also served on several panels, including at the Annual Bankruptcy Meets Bench Conference and the MCLE Annual Bankruptcy Law Conference.

David A. Shaw is of counsel with Demerle & Associates, P.C., representing lenders and loan servicers throughout southern New England. David has represented mortgage servicers since 2001 and has practiced civil litigation more generally since 1986.
A native of New Jersey, David received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Vermont and then graduated cum laude from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 1985. While in law school, David worked as an Associate Editor of the Connecticut Law Review. He also received the Stephenson Prize and AmJur Book Award in Civil Procedure.
Following law school, and prior to entering private practice, David completed a one-year clerkship with the Honorable Arthur H. Latimer, U.S. Magistrate Judge for the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut.

Joan Egdall is an attorney with Demerle & Associates, P.C. After graduating from law school, Joan began her legal career in the Boston area as in-house counsel for a tech start-up that was subsequently acquired by Corning, Inc. She eventually returned to her native Maine working in small law offices, with a focus on civil litigation. Immediately prior to joining Demerle & Associates, P.C., Joan worked for a top law firm in central Maine representing creditors in foreclosures, bankruptcy and other collection proceedings in Maine state and federal courts.
Joan attended St. Lawrence University in upstate New York before graduating from Northeastern University School of Law. She is admitted to practice law in the state and federal courts in Maine and Massachusetts.

Patricia Antonelli has been practicing law for more than 30 years, focusing on commercial and consumer foreclosures and workouts, bankruptcy and receivership law and banking and consumer finance regulatory and compliance matters. Patricia is admitted to practice in both Rhode Island and Massachusetts, and her clients include credit unions, banks, financial institutions, mortgage lenders, mortgage servicers and secured and unsecured creditors.
Patricia is a member of the Rhode Island Bar Association, the Boston Bar Association’s Bankruptcy Law Section, the American Bankruptcy Institute, the Massachusetts Real Estate Law Bar Association and the International Women’s Insolvency and Restructuring Confederation. She is certified by the Rhode Island Supreme Court as a Receiver/Trustee for Superior Court receiverships.
Patricia was selected as a Super Lawyer from 2009 to 2024, and she was nominated for a Professional Excellence in Law award by RI Monthly for 2023. Patricia is a member of the Planning Board for the City of Newport, Rhode Island, the Newport Preservation Society, and she is a member of Newport Lodge #104 of the Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks.
A native of Massachusetts, Patricia did her undergraduate studies at Boston College, and she obtained her law degree from Suffolk University Law School. While at law school in Boston, she was accepted into the US Department of Justice Honors Program, and she interned at the Office of the United States Trustee in Boston which was the beginning of her career in insolvency and bankruptcy law.

Kelsey Bagge is an attorney first admitted to practice law in 2017, and has experience representing lenders and servicers in foreclosure, eviction and title actions in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. She has experience in both the state and federal courts, including the Massachusetts Appeals Court.
Kelsey completed her undergraduate degree and Masters in Business Administration at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, and obtained a J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law.

Michael E. Swain has been practicing law since 2009 in the mortgage default servicing space, with an emphasis on bankruptcy law and lender litigation. Michael represents several national lenders and loan servicers on their real property legal issues in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island. Prior to joining Demerle & Associates, P.C., he owned a law practice with offices in Blackstone, Massachusetts and Fall River, Massachusetts where he represented individuals and businesses in a wide range of legal matters. Mr. Swain also gathered extensive bankruptcy and litigation experience with a large national default servicing firm, where he represented secured lenders in a variety of consumer bankruptcy and litigation matters. Michael is an alumnus of Cornell University and Syracuse University College of Law.

Tammy L. Baker has been practicing law since 2006 with a strong focus on real estate. As a seasoned real estate attorney, Tammy manages the Massachusetts foreclosure portfolio for the firm, drawing upon her years of experience as a residential/commercial transactional attorney for many national lenders and loan servicers. Tammy also handles all aspects of residential and commercial transactions, including contract negotiations, title review, closings, title curative and dispute resolution. In addition to real estate, Tammy also has extensive experience in collection work. Before joining Demerle & Associates, P.C., Tammy owned and operated a successful solo law practice for more than 12 years. Before earning her J.D. from Massachusetts School of Law, Tammy worked full-time and part-time jobs to put herself through both undergraduate and law school. Tammy began her career in real estate with Hadlock Law Offices while she attended law school.
