Richard C. Demerle has been practicing law since 2002 with a focus on mortgage default servicing and landlord-tenant law. Richard represents several national loan servicers on their real property legal issues including defending mortgagees in commercial and consumer litigation, prosecuting post-foreclosure evictions and defending secured claims in the U.S. Bankruptcy Courts.
Prior to graduating from Boston University School of Law, Richard served as a legislative aide to the Massachusetts House Ways & Means Committee where he spearheaded the Haverhill Land Bank campaign dedicated to preserving open space in the City of Haverhill. A graduate of Dartmouth College, Mr. Demerle also worked as a reporter for two of the largest daily newspapers in Massachusetts, The Lowell Sun and The Eagle-Tribune.
